My name is Arthi!
Post Doctoral Resident at Katz Psychological Services

My Story
Arthi Vasudevan is a recent graduate of the Midwestern University PsyD program. She completed her doctoral internship at the Community Services Institute in Springfield, Massachusetts, during which she provided trauma-informed care and play therapy to youth impacted by complex life experiences, including those in the foster care system.
Arthi is trained in play therapy and strongly believes in the power of play as a tool for helping children better understand themselves and the world around them. She has experience working with children and adolescents experiencing learning difficulties to help them identify and overcome emotional and behavioral barriers to learning. Additionally, she aims to support youth as they navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral struggles, and other factors or circumstances affecting their mental health.
In addition to her work with children and adolescents, Arthi supports adults navigating life transitions, identity development, and relationship challenges. She strives to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients of all ages by utilizing humor, validation, and empowerment.
